Pros and cons of Cyclist app for iPhone and iPad

Cyclist app good for

Not only is this one of the best cycling magazines out there, the App is optimized for the iPad - not simply a digitized version of the mag. Even works in landscape! A joy to behold.
Great magazine, love the various regular contributors and all the different aspects of cycling, but my only problem is that I cant always afford the bikes that are in it. lazybaker
Everything Im looking for in a good cycling magazine: training and nutritional articles, product reviews, cycling travel guides and professional race coverage. Excellent writers and some of the best graphics and photographs youll find in any magazine. Every issue makes me want to travel to a new cycling destination! I know that this is a European magazine, but I would like to see a bit more coverage of some of the many great cycling destinations in North America. Payment system works well.

Some bad moments

New version is nice, but the app continually "resets" aka erases all downloads. If you go to another app, even for a few seconds, when you come back your downloaded issue is gone, and you have to re-download the whole thing. It basically renders the app unusable.
The best and one of the most informative bicycle magazines being published.
So good. Not laden with crappy looking ads. Just pure awesome content
This magazine was looking very promising with great content but they screwed it all up. The iPad interface is terrible and hard to use. There are no ads but the "reviews" are a few paragraphs and are more like ads. Maybe they are. Simply not worth paying for.
Revision of a previous review here. After three days of attempting to get a readable version of the magazine, I was finally successful. It is a great looking app when working correctly, but frustrating that I had to have so much trouble with it first. My 5 stars today average with my single star previously to give a rating of 3, which I feel the unreliable downloads and frustration justify.
Update - no action whatsoever on fixing the disappearing subscriber issue. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. MAJOR RIP OFF. Seems every time this app gets updated I go through a two month struggle to get my subscription straightened out. Time to end that stream of wasted money. Or better yet, request a refund from iTunes for a fraudulent app. I paid for issues that it keeps asking me to pay for again. Seems like fraud to me.
